The Grampians National Park
The Grampians National Park covering 167,000 hectares is one of the largest National Parks in Victoria. Its spectacular scenery, rugged mountain ranges, colourful wildflowers and wonderful opportunities for outdoor recreation have made it one of the Victoria's most popular tourist destinations - an all seasons destination.
With 600km of roads and 160km of walking tracks it takes time to fully experience the diversity of the Grampians. There are cool fern gullies, many walking trails, waterfalls, lookouts and wonderful wildflower areas.
The Grampians National Park is a great place for outdoor activities: bush walking, picnicking, camping, rock climbing, fishing, photography, nature study and car touring. Certain roads are suitable for cycling and you can swim in some nearby lakes.
Be sure to bring plenty of water on hot days.
